I am liveblogging each episode of Doctor Who as I watch it. This is more or less a raw stream of consciousness list of things I am considering and wondering about as I watch. (Sometimes I add links later for reference, but otherwise it’s all exactly what I typed at the time.) In the interest of not spoiling anything for anyone I am putting all of it behind the jump.

OK, the janitor turning into the SS guy is pretty cool looking.
That lady’s outfit as she went and looked out the window? WAY less cool.

Oh seriously this is impressive.

Oh, Mels is shot. Here’s me trying to feel sad about it…nope.

Even after all that, I am still weirded out by Amy’s tights.

True, why WOULD she be a psychopath?
What IS her life like? If this is her start, how did she get all weaponized?
Also: WHERE was she hiding that lip gloss!? And how did it not kill her?
Shoot her? Oh noes! But she’s regenerating…

I wonder why he got Amelia and not “Sexy”.

But we don’t know the question? Bah.
How can they fix this?

They beamed everyone else out? Uh oh.

Now River’s free but what will she do?
At least she didn’t run.
Oh geez. That sound just there was Eleven inching closer to the First Place the Tenth has in my heart.

The TARDIS? Oh my.
I have to admit he’s pretty snappily dressed.
I still don’t know if I like this version of River.
“Find River?” How? Tell her what? He loves her? His real name?
But we know he isn’t dead.
“Show me River Song.” Awww.
She’s still regenerating isn’t she?

No? What’s he mean no?
I hope this works.
Wait, kissing him is what started all this!
That was warped and weird.
How do they know she lost all her regenerations? Because she cashed it in on someone else?
Ohhhh, there’s her book. Interesting.
I don’t think she can be undone, we haven’t seen it warped yet have we?
Does he know she’s going to kill him? Or just when he dies?

Oh noes. Archaeology. WHO is he he talking to?

OK, I feel like this coulda been a really exciting episode but I just didn’t really feel it. Mostly just weirdness and I feel like this was half an episode and we could have spent more time exploring River and her deal. I don’t know why. Somehow this just wasn’t an episode I really enjoyed. Not for lack of trying, but I watched it for the blog and then watched it again and I just couldn’t get there.

They aren’t covered in marks anymore.

These guys are almost as creepy as the weeping angels.

OK, overall this is a weird distressing episode. Quite a switch from Christmas I must say. I don’t have the amount of note taking I usually do because watching this one I had a lot of catching up to do to keep up with the plot in parts. I think I liked it but I also am a little nervous about how it turns out.

But what’s the deal there? What happens when it’s that day? What’s it got to do with the crack?

I like a good two parter, and I like when it’s a bit scary. This was a bit scary. I’m glad it turned out ok, but I sort of figured it would, we’re only midseason! (:

Well I need to know how this turns out. I’m glad I don’t have to wait a week! I don’t know how fun this is, but I definitely need to know what happens when they jump. I am liveblogging each episode of Doctor Who as I watch it. I am publishing a raw stream of consciousness list of things I am considering and wondering about as I watch. In the interest of not spoiling anything for anyone I am putting all of it behind the jump.

* So is she stupid to go through that door and look round or did she do a smart thing? Seems dark.

* How does he know this? Is he a good guy? Is he a bad guy? Does he want to help them or NOT help her?
* I guess it makes sense that he would eventually meet someone who has met him but he doesn’t yet know.
* Did it happen with the one where The Doctor appears on exactly the DVDs the girl owns? Wasn’t she Sally Sparrow or something? Maybe it happened with her too.
* Two shadows, oh crap.
* I like her sonic screwdriver. That’s now the third or fourth variant we’ve seen so far.
* Ah! Donna! What happened?

* Saved? How is she the…is that how there were survivors? They weren’t really survivors they just became the guide thingies?
