I watch Lost and this season as one of the Delta Park Project’s research interns I figured it would be helpful to liveblog my thoughts. First of all, the episode description from Lostpedia: Kate struggles to save a young Benjamin Linus from a gunshot wound at all costs.
NOTE: Lostpedia says this episode’s title refers to a line from Mostly Harmless of the H2G2 five book trilogy: “Anything that happens, happens. Anything that, in happening, causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen. Anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen again, happens again. It doesn’t necessarily do it in chronological order, though.”
So here goes! I scribble these as I watch so I claim no coherency. It wouldn’t even make sense to anyone who doesn’t watch the show already and yeah, if you haven’t seen this episode, Thar Be Spoilers Ahead. Yarr.

* Does Juliet need stuff or just need to ditch Roger?
* I do like that Kate is looking out for Juliet.
* Juliet and Kate are working on Ben? This sounds…serious.
* Kate jumps in the Dharma van and her dash has spot in it just like mine does when I take my CD Player face off. Except I didn’t do that in 1977. Huh.
* Oh look, here we are on the pier AGAIN! I feel like I’m watching Clue with the three endings. When is Ben gonna fight with Sun over how many shots she fired? 1 + 2 + 2 + 1…
* Now that’s all I can think about. Kate going Flames…on the sides of my face…
* Maybe we’ll see where KATE went this time?
* Aisle 5? Not 4? Or 8? Am I going to look for The Numbers forever?

* Sawyer called her Freckles! Is that bad?
* Auntie Kate, huh?
* Does she like being Auntie? I don’t.
* How much older than Aaron is Clementine? She was in a crib last time right?
* How did these two end up friendly enough that her daughter calls Kate Auntie?
* I wonder what Kate’s reasons are. Juliet has Doctory reasons for helping Ben.
* Sawyer is saving Benry for JULIET!? Niiiiiiiiiiice.
* “You mind giving us some privacy?” Because in case you couldn’t tell, I’mma cut a bitch up in this piece and it’s hard to get blood outta them there Dharma suits. Thanks! (:
* I love that Miles and Hurley are playing Bones. I also love that they know to get the hell out of her way.
* It’s not Ben yet, he’s just a kid. Wow.
* I like that Juliet is finally asserting herself. I know it’s just in the bathroom to Jack but I’m glad for it.
* I wonder if Sawyer and Kate together is bugging Jack.
* I came back because I was supposed to? FAIL.
* So Kate actually gets to have this talk with Sawyer?
* I wonder if Cassidy was right about Sawyer.
* DUDE!
* I wonder if you can hear them clank when Sawyer walks.
* Oh it’s Manscara time missy and we’re going NOW!
* Why is she talking to Claire’s ma?
* Kate is gonna give him back!?
* How does Kate know Claire is alive?
* Why is Kate blabbing to everybody?
* See? You don’t know if she’s alive! Just tell her you know she didn’t die in the crash!
* Why did you lie? That’s the best reason you have?
* So that’s where Aaron skipped off to when Kate got on the plane…
* To find your daughter? Puh-LEEEZE.
* I can’t seem to feel bad for Kate right now. I feel bad for Aaron, but not that mess that’s ditching him.
* Oooh! Guyliner saves the day!
* I wonder if this will actually work.
* If I take him he’s not ever gonna be the same again. So this is what makes Baby Ben into Benry? The Benry that LOCKS YOU IN A CAGE later?
* Without asking Illy? Elly? Charles? Do Mama Faraday and Papa Chucky run things for the Hostiles like Sawyer and Juliet?
* Why will he forget this happened? And what will he forget? Getting shot? WHO shot him? Just the last day or like, the last week?
* What goes on in there?
* AWESOME. That’s the smirky face I love from Locke.

- Why won’t Benry remember anything? Because writers painted themselves into a corner? (I don’t want to be cynical but come ON!)
- If Juliet is an Other does she know anything about the Temple?
- Once we’re done with Benry can we talk about our Lostaways again? Sun and Jin? Penny? Desmond? WALT? Come on.
- Are we ever gonna find out what the deal is with the island curing cancer and resurrecting Locke but no babies?
- Where WAS Benry when he woke up? It looked like less than a building but more than camp.
- How did Locke find Benry?
- How did Benry NOT know Locke was there too? They were all kinda in the same place before.
- I like that Kate and Juliet are over themselves. That’s kind of a nice change actually. There are way better stories to tell.
- I still sort of want Miles to explain time travel to Hurley using a Mad Magazine Fold-In to explain timelines.
- As a fellow pop culture checker, I wonder how often Hurley has blurted something out in Dharmaville that didn’t make sense to anyone. A war, in the stars? Who’s Alex P Keaton? (:
- Still no Daniel. I’m a little worried about him.
- Is it possible somehow we still aren’t done with Aaron? Claire’s ma has to fly home doesn’t she?
- Will we actually find out what happened to Claire? Aaron? Clementine? Ji Yeon? Baby Charlie?
