Lost Liveblog S05E10 – He’s Our You

I watch Lost and this season as one of the Delta Park Project’s research interns I figured it would be helpful to liveblog my thoughts. First of all, the episode description from Lostpedia: The DHARMA Initiative struggles to discover the identity of Sayid Jarrah, while Sawyer tries to make sure that his secret remains safe.

So here goes! I scribble these as I watch so I claim no coherency. It wouldn’t even make sense to anyone who doesn’t watch the show already and yeah, if you haven’t seen this episode, Thar Be Spoilers Ahead. Yarr.

* I love that the Previously section includes more than just this season. That’s nice! It also reminds us that Sayid had a “jowly” period there for awhile.
* So which one is Sayid? The one who would or the one who wouldn’t?
* Ah ha. Now I’m curious what happened to his brother.
* So here’s Benry bringing sammiches to Sayid. He seems nice. I wonder if this is before or after he begged to join the Hostiles.

* Oh, he ran away four years ago. So the kid is four years older now than last time they filmed with him. Convenient. (:
* At least my question got answered, this is after he met Richard.
* I know I shouldn’t underestimate Benry but here he’s just a kid. How can he help Sayid?
* Moscow? Oooh! Weren’t we in Russia once before? No?
* When the crap is this?
* Oh it’s flatironed slightly jowly Sayid. I wonder just when this is though.
* So how is this what went down?
* You’re gonna just cut him loose? Sayid sounds weird. Is he dubbed or something?
* I’m still not entirely certain how they got mixed up together.
* Horace freaks me out a little.

* Once again LOST, I am ALL kinds of interested in how this goes down.
* So who’s “the next level”? Sawyer or JC?
* IT’S BACON!!!!! (Sorry. I had to.)
* I do not doubt Sawyer has it under control but I want him to look her in the eye and say now that he has the option he chooses Juliet.
* A twelve year old Ben Linus brought me a chicken salad sandwich. How do you think I’m doing?
* I have to admit I’m pretty surprised Sawyer likes his “La Fleur” lifestyle, but he certainly seems to.
* Oh noes. Con Artist vs Iraqi Republican Guard? My money’s on Sayid.
* I like Hurley. I want to see more of him!
* I wonder what will happen with Kate now. Even if she decides she wants Sawyer back will he take her?
* I wonder if Sayid will feel a little bad for Benry now, knowing what he knows.
* Oh look, Habitat for Humanity Sayid. With realistic hammering action!
* How was John Locke murdered? Oh that’s right, BENRY!
* I’m not convinced it’s in Sayid’s nature. I think he does what he has to do.
* I wonder if we will ever see a moment when Big Benry recognizes Sayid.
* I also wonder if Sayid will be part of who/what precipitates The Purge.
* Is this Kloo or Clue or whatever the hell her name is?
* Oldham? Do I know him yet?
* Ohhhhhh, goody. “He’s our you.”
* He looks a little “This is my brother Daryl, this is my other brother Daryl.” to me. (And I’m right! Number 71!)
* Is it LSD or something?
* I don’t need all this replay it wasn’t that long ago.
* “If I see you again it will be extremely unpleasant for us both.” I wonder if that will end up being true since next time he saw him it was Baby Benry.
* Who is she? Is she really an air marshall person? Was she looking for him?
* I think I like her. She gets on well with Sayid, too.
* I wonder what will happen if Sayid tells the truth. He doesn’t have a choice, apparently, so I wonder what will happen to him. They won’t believe his story but they won’t believe he lied, either.
* Do we know Radzinski from some other context? I’m not sure I remember him. (He’s been mentioned, I looked him up and he drew the blast door map and killed himself in the Swan station according to the other guy in the Swan station, Kelvin, who was the guy there with Desmond.)
* “Because I am from the future.” Oh here we go.
* “How are you with a flat 4 engine?” How are YOU with a flat 4 engine Juliet? And WHY are you anything with a flat 4 engine??
* Sawyer just got an eyeful of Kate and Juliet. He’s gotta be Dharma-ing in his shorts right now.
* Ann Arbor?
* Why don’t they just give him another day? How is ONE DAY so uncivilized?
* How does Amy get to convince them? Why does she get a chance to say anything? Dharma strikes me as a “shh, baby, grownups are talking” sort of situation.
* I would really like to say it’s unanimous? WHY DID THAT WORK?
* Oh my.
* Oh my!
* Who is he? Oh the golf course guy. That’s why we saw that in the Previously.
* WTF? Sayid turned into Locke? There is a reason for him to be here?
* “Hey.” “Hi.” Awwwwwk-warrrrrrrd!
* Christ with a Molotov Cocktail! Who sent the van through Dharmaville?
* Who lives in there? Is it the community center?
* Wait, did Benry do it to spring Sayid?
* Oh look, Benry did it to spring Sayid.
* Um. Is this Sayid’s Special Purpose? To bring down Dharma?
* Oh look, Sayid’s Special Purpose is to bring down Dharma.
* Airport.
* Oh, Ajira 316.
* Are you sure we’re going to Guam? hahahahahahahahahahaha
* I wonder how they ended up on that flight just in general. Didn’t Hurley buy all the tickets?
* “A monster responsible for nothing short of genocide.” Is this because you helped him commit it?
* If Sayid helped Benry get away from Dharma and eventually bring them down, doesn’t that mean Benry owes him one? How does Sayid end up working for him?

* How does Sayid just straight up shoot him?
* Doesn’t this bugger up like 23 different timelines?
* How is there a Big Benry if Sayid shot Baby Benry?
* I am SO confused right now. And I love it. This is something to puzzle over.
* If there’s no Benry how is there a Dharma Decimation?
* Are we in alternate timeline land now?
* Is there some other reason why this happened but isn’t causing tragedy? Is it because they ended the episode first?
* He didn’t kill Jin, so what happens when he wakes up?
* Hurry up new LOST! For once I want to go read spoilers of the next episode because I wanna know JUST that bad.
