The Bananaverse

I watch Lost and this season as one of the Delta Park Project’s research interns I figured it would be helpful to liveblog my thoughts. First of all, the episode description from Lostpedia: The return of his old friends to the Island forces Sawyer to struggle to keep his lie concealed.

So here goes! I scribble these as I watch so I claim no coherency. It wouldn’t even make sense to anyone who doesn’t watch the show already and yeah, if you haven’t seen tonight’s episode, Thar Be Spoilers Ahead. Yarr.

(I don’t think I got a previously this time. Weird.)
- What about the people who aren’t the O6 who are on the plane? We have a co-pilot and a stewardess and Sayid’s keeper and the guy Hurley just told to fasten his seat belt.
* This looks like a white flash, not purplesky. Hm.
* They’re back? They’re toast!
* A runway? What IS that if not a runway?
* Who puts a runway on the Island?
* Oh noes. This looks bad.
* Cesar and some woman and Frank and Sun? Why didn’t she vanish?
* Ben? Oh here we go. “How would I know?”
* Thirty years huh?
* I’m glad Hurley is happy to see Sawyer. Kong? (:
* They shake hands? After all that they shake hands?
* Good to see you? Huh. I wonder how well this will go down back at the homestead.
* But John isn’t dead. He’s eating mangos or whatever with Cesar and that woman we just saw on the plane. I guess they don’t know that.
* How are they IN the Dharma Initiative?
* OHHHHHHHHH ok. It’s 1977. So the flight was in 2007.
* Wait, is it? They landed in 74 so it’s 77 now? I think I missed some time someplace.
* Miles calling Jin. Hee!
* Dude your english is awesome. HA!
* Dharmaville? I’m glad to see bits of Sawyer.
* Sun too? There goes Jin’s rationality.
* Is he gonna tell them about Juliet? We don’t know. What did he say, I wonder?
* Does Juliet know what this means for her? Does it mean anything?
* How does the sub help? Are they going to just appear on it or something?
* Who’s THAT guy? I thought for a second that was Daniel.
* I have to say Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) does a great job of having varying levels of English knowledge at different times. It would be really hard for me to work out how good my English is supposed to be!
* Sun is on the island. There is a plane. She’s now? No no no no, I need to see them back together! I need to see them reunited!!
* Poor Sun. I have to say she is probably unhappy that she’s doing all of this again. At least she wore jeans so she’ll be comfy this time around. (:
* Ben, where are you going?
* Why are you following me? TAKE A GUESS JACKASS!
* I keep forgetting we saw that there are two islands. Sawyer and the bunny and all that.
* We’re gonna name him Ethan? Oh noes. What is his ACTUAL last name, I wonder?
* “What are we supposed to do now?” You’re supposed to figure out that your bra straps don’t match a t-back tank top dumdum! I know your shoes ain’t cheap but you can’t afford a t-back bra?
* Sawyer knows about batches of recruits? Hmm.
* I vote for not camping. Hee!
* MUPPET SHOW! YAY!!!! (I’m a big Muppets dork so that’s awesome)
* Hostile inside the perimeter?
* Ohhhh, THAT was the Flame station. Got it.
* Sayid is the hostile?
* He is! I missed you Sayid!!
* Come on Jin, you could wink at him or something so he knows, couldn’t you?
* How will they explain Sayid?
* I love Hugo.
* Farraday’s not here anymore? Oh noes!
* Welcome new recruits! Hmmmmm
* Nice cover Sawyer. Act doped up, watch the video…
* Crap. What happens to Sayid?
* OMG Benry told the truth! He doesn’t know where Jin is.
* No Sun, you don’t have to trust him, you just have to go with him.
* Why does Benry know there are boats there?
* Are they who shot at the Losties the first time around in the rain?
* I lied. Ooooh, I figured someone would go toe to toe with Benry evil-wise but Sun was SO not on that list. This is FUN!
* OMG! Dr Mr Changdle-wick-wax in another video!
* So Jack is interviewed by the guy in all the weird videos they watched forever?
* Workman? JANITORIAL work? LOL!
* Janitor Jack. Nice
* What name is on there?
* Hi Kate. Welcome to the island. I want to hit you with a bat. (:
* Model of the Swan? Then when did The Purge happen?
* I’m glad Sayid is just as quick as Sawyer. If that had been Hurley he’d be screwed!
* There’s an unlikely pair of investigators.
* Smokey? Polar bear? Do we know anything about when they are yet?
* Dharmaville is in pretty sad shape. A light in a window… Is it JacobChristian?
* Oh look it is JacobChristian!
* Does JC know Sun?
* Can JC really lead her there?
* A photo. Nice job JC.
* Can Sun get to 77 with the rest of them? Does Frank need to go too?
* I feel bad for Sayid, he has no context for anything right now.
* He hates being James?
* That guy’s trouble, I can tell.
* OMG! Jack had no idea did he?
* “I’m sure you two have a lot to talk about.” They do now!
* But is Sayid actually safe?
* Did Kate see Juliet answer the door? Why doesn’t she talk to him? Why doesn’t he talk to her?
* OMG It’s Benry! I know it is.
* I wonder if this piece of Benry’s timeline affects how he acts later on.

Is Lostie vs Lostie how we get the purge? I’m kinda worried if Sayid teams up with Manscara.
