That was good and bad at the same time. I don’t want it to be over, they need another couple of adventures or something. Maybe they’ll pop up at Christmas. I sure hope so. Collectively I like them together, it’s fun now that they have settled into a rhythm. I try not to watch for spoilers or casting notes so I can be surprised, so I really hope they’re back for another series. I used to not like the multipanion shows, but this one I enjoyed. Overall I liked this one. A bit creepier than most. Seemed to be more exciting and have a lot going on. I’m disappointed we never actually got a good explanation of what exactly George is, though.

OK, I feel like this coulda been a really exciting episode but I just didn’t really feel it. Mostly just weirdness and I feel like this was half an episode and we could have spent more time exploring River and her deal. I don’t know why. Somehow this just wasn’t an episode I really enjoyed. Not for lack of trying, but I watched it for the blog and then watched it again and I just couldn’t get there.

I liked this story because it was a bit of what I particularly like about Star Trek: An alien race reflecting humanity back at itself. For those in other countries, when you watch this episode and you feel a bit sad and embarrassed for humanity, and you know in your heart that it could have gone SO much better than it actually did, this is a little bit of what it has felt like to be American for the last decade.

I like this one overall. Creepy, funny bits, and humanity. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

I am liveblogging each episode of Doctor Who as I watch it. This is more or less a raw stream of consciousness list of things I am considering and wondering about as I watch. This was a pretty good episode I think. I wish we’d had the big reveal sooner though, I would have liked to have known it earlier on to see how he dealt with it. I did enjoy the “Rory’s version” vs “Doctor’s version” of Amy. Enlightening.
