OMG!

OMG!

Not right. Not even wrong.

Amusing as all hell. NSFW or home or most other places. Involves 2pac. Sound on. I may have already said too much.

swoon

I love Seth Green. He doesn’t of course hold the place in my Geekdom that Mister Wheaton does, but he is delightful in his own way.

Here are some reasons I think he’s nifty:

-He’s the same eye level as me.
-He’s in the same realm of geekdom-Star Wars and such
-He’s a fan of Adult Swim (hell, he’s ON Adult Swim!)
-He’s out of that spastic little closet of his

And I’m sure there are more, but that’s plenty I think. At least for now. They are big ones so they count.

Like I said, he’s no Wil Wheaton, but I’d put him on the list to get into my Geekdom.

K. Bye.

rent review

Wow.

I saw Rent tonight. May the deity of his choice bless Yer Mom greatly for hooking me up with the pass.

WOW! What a good movie. They got it right and I can’t believe they did. SO good. And faithful. I’m so glad they did it and were true to the musical but it is definitely it’s own thing.

I went with Miz H, Yer Mom (not his real name but it’s a long story), OG, Tone, and Yer Mom’s brother.

It was fantastic. I got to see a great movie with some great friends and it was a wonderful time. I even screamed my fool head off and got some fingerless gloves. It was fun to do that too. It just made me think about family and friends and how sometimes there isn’t really a line and how I miss the people I love who aren’t here and how those aren’t necessarily the people I’m related to and how I have some outstanding family who aren’t related to me by blood and how there are people I’m related to I don’t really want to claim. I’m so very glad I got to see it with who I got to see it with too. It was just right.

There was a point where I thought I’d need to break out the legwarmers I gave Miz H, cuz those gloves were getting soggy! I sobbed like a girl and I had a hard time anyway since I was off balance to begin with (stupid hormones and cramps and gah!) but it was a really good time. Yay!

What a lovely evening. I went to Tower after and bought the soundtrack (on sale) and another CD I’ve been looking for almost FOREVER and now I have them both! I need to go to bed and then tomorrow they are going on my Shooflay and I will listen to them all day long woo!

Thanks again Yer Mom! (:

Sex and the City

OK, so they rerun this show on Channel 3 now, and I don’t understand why people freaked out so about it like it was the second coming of television. Even if I venture a guess at the parts they had to cut in order to run it on channel 3, it still isn’t very interesting or cool and there is no way on earth I can relate to these people.

Please tell me why, if you know. Because I’ll be damned if I can figure it out.

The Movie Of Your Life Is A Cult Classic

Quirky, offbeat, and even a little campy - your life appeals to a select few.
But if someone’s obsessed with you, look out! Your fans are downright freaky.

Your best movie matches: Office Space, Showgirls, The Big Lebowski

Open Letter To Andy Bell

Dearest Andy,

Thank you for putting out an album with some energy in it. While I enjoyed Nightbird, it was not the album I wanted to hear from erasure. I like erasure records to be a bit more upbeat and danceable. Your new solo album has given me hope that there are still solid dance records being made. I wanted to thank you for not only a good record, but the remixes of “Crazy” which are also outstanding. And “Love Oneself” is the nicest electronic song I’ve heard in some time.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best with your solo endeavor.

tech support!

Here’s some tech support I got yesterday from a friend of mine:

Moi: My Powerbook is having some kind of dead battery thing. Can you tell me how to fix it?

Big A: Hold it under water for 25.7 minutes while singing “I AM A PRETTY PRETTY PRINCESS” to the tune of Yankee Doodle and flinging those little cocktail wieners at it and holding a dead salmon between your knees.
Big A: or refer to this artcle: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449
Big A: PROTIP: go with option B

This is why I love my friends. :)

I’m really not sure!

I don’t know if this is ok or not…I am sort of enjoying the brief bits of Confessions On A Dance Floor I have listened to so far…I have a copy and I want to hate it after that last pile and her uppity ‘tude lately, but I think she might actually be able to bring back disco.

At least as far as most people are concerned, anyway…I know Pet Shop Boys have been making disco records for years. (:

Meme-tastic!

(from ZenMondo too)

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don’t speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want- good or bad. When you’re finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or moritified) about what people remember about you.

mem-o-licious!

Yoinked from ZenMondo:

If you see this, post an Oscar Wilde quote in your LJ.

My own business always bores me to death; I prefer other people’s.
