Eeyore McHuffypants, Mayor of Dramaville

Let the snatchery commence!!

In case you need some help with your snatchery…

blah blah blah call me blah even though I called AND left a message and J.Ro watched blah blah blah blah evil roommates blah blah sucky job blah blah video game blah blah blah evil people blah blah blah love my doggy blah blah please pay your blah blah owe me money blah blah blah call me blah.

I think I hit all the high points. It’s been SO long since the drama made it all the way back here. Welcome ba-ack…your blog was your…ticket ouuut, welcome back, to the same old place that you laughed about…
(that’s the theme to Welcome Back Kotter you CHILDREN!)

PS: There was a comment on my last post that was removed since it had NOTHING to do with the post itself. If you have anything at all to talk about then this is the place to do it-anything goes!

UPDATE: I’ve been (gasp!) de-friended! Or whatever you call it when someone yanks you off their friends page. I feel so…so…oh yeah, that’s right, I have a life outside my lj and I don’t much care. Except that the devastating sarcasm saved special just for me is going to go to waste since neither me or J.Ro get to read it. Darn.

take yourself some action!

Long story, but I came across this site and I’m glad I did. They’re like MoveOn, but local. Anyway, they have an action item (that’s where the link goes) about getting support for a civil union law before the recess. One of their reasons is because discrimination has gone on long enough.

While I can see and understand what they are trying to do, isn’t that still a form of discrimination? I’m not trying to be militant about this or anything, but it’s very “well them negroes want water too, so it’d be ok to give them their own drinking fountain” to me because this separate but equal bullshit is bullshit unless they open it to EVERYONE.

Take my dear friend The Hatter, for example (he’s mad, I tell you, mad!). If he and I want to have a big church wedding with a(t least one) dress and a preacher and all that jazz, then we should be able to. But if neither of us necessarily subscribe to that point of view (and who would, and then go on to marry A BLOOD GOD for sobbing out loud), then we should be able to have a civil union without all that other BS. If he wants to marry J.Ro (again, probably at least one dress) then he should have the same two choices.

All you ‘protect the sanctity of marriage’ people can kiss the widest whitest part of my ass. When your ’sanctity’ includes Britney’s like 56 hour marriage and Larry King’s like 56 marriages, I don’t think you have a lot of room to talk. And the Republicans who introduced this act and supported it and begged for it to be passed? Paragons of virtue, each and every one.

Apparently it is clue-by-four time. Submit a list, my legion, cuz I’m DEFINITELY in the mood.

ahhhhhhhhhhh!

While “the racin” is not really my thing, I saw a number of good things about putting a track in near my native land. Jobs, income, the usual stuff.

That being said, I’m glad they changed their minds.

There is no amount of mind altering substances that will EVER get that picture out of my head.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And more importantly, OMGWTFBBQ!

…apples!!

..In which Miz Verso holds forth upon Pride…

Seriously, at the very least they could pick a one way street they would end up going the RIGHT way down, don’t you think? And perhaps go by ONE gay friendly business? Honestly the way it went down I’m surprised they didn’t just move the whole thing to the other side of the river and make the step-off point the E Room.

I’m wondering if this year’s celebration will be the step-off point for some people’s involvement with pride. And by involvement I mean attendance and contributing money, the kind of stuff they really need to have to continue to justify having it.

If I were feeling particularly cranky I’d say that once again the lesbians have ruined an event that used to be really fun (coughFagsOnWheelscough), but I won’t say that. What is it with them? Nobody else can have any fun anywhere ever?

I’ve met some lovely lesbians in my time. However they aren’t the ones running things, they are busy living their own lives apparently and not being mad about them.

Gah.

But have no fear! Last night the Fro and I were discussing it and we have come up with plans for a new more fabulous Pride. If we can somehow overthrow the current board then we shall prevail with a Pride more like *everyone* wants and less like a few people think is a good idea. Who’s with us?

good friday indeed.

This morning, upon viewing the time, The Scoot leapt out of bed and hurtled toward the shower. I woke up and noticed the time myself and went back to sleep all confused.

Turns out The Scoot was too! He jumped up at 5:10 instead of 6:10 and he was all done showering and stuff by like 5:30. So he had some time. Me? I was asleep! So the alarm went off and I hit snooze, and then it was the alarm for when I have to get up, so I turned it off and sat up. At that moment The Scoot came in the bedroom and said “Good! You’re up!” and set down a tray in front of me with toast and Cream of Wheat! I was pleased, it was a nice way to start the morning. And it got better with some happy time after I was done with breakfast. so woo!

Long lame day at work, slow and lots of people weren’t there so it was even slower than normal. But I couldn’t complain too much about my day since I had such a lovely start. :)
