The Bananaverse

Like the universe, but Banana-y-er.

great, now I’M the blooper!

Me and the Fro just watched us some bloopers. (TiVo recorded it. Don’t ask why.)

Before we watched that he wanted to know what the hours were for The Yarn Garden.

So it’s over now and I just said, “Do you wish to go to the yarden of…(dissolves into giggles)”

J: What? (giggle)
V: Do you…(giggle giggle giggle)
J: uhh…take two!
V: Do you wish to go to the…place, with the stuff, where I take the thing and go like this…(giggle giggle making weird crochet-like gestures giggle snort)
J: uh…(giggle giggle giggle)

Then he walked off going “how did you know the yarden was my favorite place?”

Chez Verso is apparently at the corner of SE Weird and Goofy.

Yeah.

For the Ambassador

I guess I have LJ diarrhea today…do you take Pepto Blogdol for that?

Anyway.

Senor Unaball, this is for you.

I ate one that I got in Canada and damned if it wasn’t delicious. I almost bought a second one to send you but you probably have someplace down there that sells foreign treats and you should get one. I recommend them. But you KNOW I had to get one even if it tasted like chocolate coated ass because of the name alone. (:

hm. chocolate coated ass. I wonder if it would make J.Ro’s ass feel better to dip it in chocolate. now I wonder why I’m wondering about J.Ro’s ass. I think it’s been a long weird weekend….

spoiler free thoughts on ep3

I’m a bit sad right now. That’s the last one. It got over and I came home and it’s over. That’s the last time I get to see a Star Wars movie for the first time.

no detail, I’ll save that for a different post. and after another couple of viewings which take place tomorrow.

Better than I’d expected, worse than I had hoped. A few things seemed to ring hollow, like they were forcing some ‘funny’ stuff just to balance out the dark stuff. Oh yeah, the dark stuff? Dark. Not just mallternative I heard a Nine Inch Nails song one time dark, this is more along the lines of Princess Bride’s Pit Of Despair. Seriously. Unintentionally I’m sure, there were a couple of moments when I got a little teary-eyed. Some interesting parallels are drawn, and he didn’t do too badly in filling in some plotlines, but there were still a couple of eye-rollers, I think.

I also never thought I’d say this, but I agree with Roger Ebert. He said George Lucas can’t write a love scene, there are greeting cards with more passion and he is absolutely right. But if I ever see two people make more out of what they’ve been given, it is a straight from the Bible loaves-and-fishes miracle. Crazy. They were very good.

I’m off to bed. I have two more shows tomorrow. I called in Sith. (:

couple of things

1. Why is it that (if we watch the films in episodic order) we find out the Force is a virus (more or less) and yet when Luke wants to ‘learn the ways of the Force’ and be a Jedi like his father, Obi-Wan doesn’t say something like, “well, there’s a pretty good chance you can do it, but the Force isn’t something you can just learn…”

2. If the Jedi are priestly (celibate, I’m guessing, and not marry, which would lead to no procreation) then how do they ever get more Jedi? Not all of them last 900 years.

3. Why is Leia on “a diplomatic mission TO Alderaan” if she’s from there? I never got that.

Anyway. Some things to occupy your mind while you wait in line. :)

It’s crazy that the web quizzes know me that well…

Star Wars Horoscope for Scorpio

You are a powerful character.
You tend to be possessive and lusty - which explains your greedy nature.
You feel threatened when people try to order you around or control you.
You are prone to suspicion and jealousy - but your resilience and passion get you what you want.

Star wars character you are most like: Han Solo

grrrrr.

Now that my days are numbered it would seem the whole world needs
something from me at the same time and it doesn’t matter that it isn’t
my job just shut up and do it what is wrong with you.

Now that my days are numbered it would seem I have zero to gain or
lose by telling the whole world what to do with all these things they
NEED to have done.

Sorry. I’m a little surly today.

Just what is the universe trying to tell me?

I called a friend of mine to see if he wanted to be my date to go see
MC Chris. He can’t, because he’s going to be in Disneyland all week.

I can’t tell said friend to see if the Ambassador will give him a
tour, because the Ambassador has taken a vay-kay from his Disneyland
job to spend like two weeks at Disney WORLD.

Plus I came to work today and received my commemorative golden ears
from someone who was just there.

Is this a sign?

you take the good you take the bad you drink a beer and then you have the facts of life…

So long since a post in VersoLand! I’m sure I’ve been desperately missed.

First things first: As it turns out, the days I have remaining at my job are numbered. As of July 15th I’m out. Of course, if I get a better offer between now and then I’m SUCH history, but I feel bad because I really like them all and I really wanted to stay. It sucks a lot, but I don’t really have a lot of options. At least my agency already scheduled me an interview, so I might get to work for a different company at two bucks more an hour and NO customer contact. I am not very hopeful yet, I only have a phone screening, but it is better than just sitting around and I have a little bit of time to find something else. It should be ok eventually. But for now I just feel crappy about it.

So I kinda knew that was going to happen (my agency called me and said they wanted to submit my name for a new position, so I had at least some advance notice) and then I found out that my friend’s dad died and I had to go to a memorial service for him. It was hard, but I was very excited to get to see the ambassador and Myrtle again. And it was nice because thanks to the happenings in the previous paragraph any travel plans I had are now on hold. So dammit to that too.

Rough week, last week.

More political bs ranting

Here’s the deal:

Nobody could be bothered to tell the President that:
A) His wife had been evacuated from their house.
B) His house, a national landmark, was being threatened.
C) Even though you don’t have to do anything, some shit is hitting the
fan right now.

Make with the clicky.

If’n the clicky is just to much work, it’s a hunk of the transcript of
the press briefing where people asked about this.

Here’s what concerns me: Even if it wasn’t his decision to make,
nobody could at least tell him what happened to his wife? And even
more than that, there’s a plan for when shit hits the fan AND HE ISN’T
EVEN INVOLVED? doubleyou tee eff, as the kids say…

eeeeeeeeee!

I have one I have one I have one!
Darth Tater! Elusive Darth Tater is elusive no more!!!

Now I have a dilemma:

Do I open this one and love it, or do I hold onto it and give it to my
nephew for his birthday in case I can’t find another one? I don’t know
what to do! but if I wait much longer I’mma keep it myself and just
stalk Toys R Uses for another month until a second one turns up.

I also bought an Anakin figure (the kinda neat Ani, not tragic black
eyeliner Ani). And Time and Wired. eee!
